After much deliberation on names and what to do with my time The Locals has been born

Today started like any other day. I fought with my cat at 5:55 am, checked myself out in the mirror naked and went for coffee and toilet paper since my cat unraveled my last role (originally I was going to make coffee to save $$). It’s been weeks (actually months but I have no concept of time anymore) deciding what to call this feeling I have. This motivation to do something good. To find my community so I COULD give back to it.

I don’t know my neighbors. And there’s something sad, wrong, currently wrong about that.

Also, for some time now, I’ve been in anguish over the wrap that San Francisco has. It’s a tech city now. We killed all the artists. But that’s not entirely true. I’m still alive and I live here in the mission. Now yes, my husband works in tech. But that should not discount that I live here and create here.

I’m solving my two “issues”. My blog or editorial or whatever the FUCK you want to call it will focus on creatives (that word is open for interpretation and exploration) living around here. With also a few other ones in different places here in the WEST.

BEST PART - My goal is to represent ALL the people AND get to know my community and uncover people doing amazing shit so 1. others can join them 2. others can benefit from them 3. others can use their stories to start their own amazing shit.

I’m just starting out so, no I don’t know exactly what it’s going to look like. But that is part of the fun. Figuring it out. Reach out if ya’ll know someone, or have opinions or want to join in. I’ll be needing all the help I can get.

Cheers ya’ll,
